a un acuerdo de gastos de 1.66 billones de d\u00f3lares para financiar al gobierno federal durante el resto de 2024, que de aprobarse, alejar\u00eda el cierre (shutdown).<\/p>\n<p>El presidente de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, Mike Johnson, anunci\u00f3 el pacto con el Senado y la Casa Blanca en una carta dirigida este domingo a sus \u201cestimados colegas\u201d de ese hemiciclo.<\/p>\n<p>Por supuesto el punto de encuentro al que llegaron enfrentar\u00e1 ahora la dif\u00edcil prueba de ser ratificado (o no) en la C\u00e1mara Baja, donde tendr\u00e1 que superar la muy probable oposici\u00f3n de los republicanos de extrema derecha, para luego pasar al Senado.<\/p>\n<p>Este paso se produce, cuando los miembros de ambas c\u00e1maras del legislativo retornan a Washington esta semana despu\u00e9s de sus vacaciones de Navidad y A\u00f1o Nuevo y antes del l\u00edmite de la financiaci\u00f3n en dos niveles que expirar\u00e1 el 19 de enero y el 2 de febrero.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSeguir\u00e9 oponi\u00e9ndome a los esfuerzos de los republicanos del Congreso para hacer donaciones masivas a los ricos y a las grandes corporaciones, recortar Medicare, Medicaid y la Seguridad Social, e impedirnos reducir los costos para las familias estadounidenses\u00bb, expres\u00f3 el presidente Joe Biden en un mensaje en X.<\/p>\n<p>En la propia red social, Biden respondi\u00f3 con un \u00ablo espero con ansias, se\u00f1or presidente\u00bb a la invitaci\u00f3n de Johnson de dar el discurso sobre el Estado de la Naci\u00f3n en el Congreso el pr\u00f3ximo
