Sin embargo, dijo que el gas metano no cubre todo el pa\u00eds, debido a la falta de infraestructura para distribuirlo a todas las regiones.<\/p>\n<p>Por eso, consider\u00f3 que la \u00fanica manera de rentabilizar el negocio del gas es mirar fuera de las fronteras y buscar mercados internacionales que demanden este recurso.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Alvarado, dependiendo de d\u00f3nde se venda el gas, Venezuela podr\u00eda recibir alrededor de US$1.500 millones anuales por la venta de gas natural. Aunque esta cifra no se compara con los ingresos petroleros, dijo que es un negocio que tambi\u00e9n hay que mirar y aprovechar.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, destac\u00f3 que el sector privado podr\u00eda ser el encargado de impulsar el desarrollo del gas natural en Venezuela, ya que PDVSA ha demostrado su incapacidad para hacerlo.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, Alvarado se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el mercado interno tambi\u00e9n tiene un gran potencial de crecimiento y demanda de gas natural, especialmente en el sector industrial que consume di\u00e9sel, que es m\u00e1s caro y contaminante que el gas natural.
