{"id":34532,"date":"2026-02-02T06:44:21","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T11:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esviafm.com\/?p=34532"},"modified":"2026-02-02T06:44:21","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T11:14:21","slug":"designan-al-exministro-carlos-alvarado-como-nuevo-presidente-del-ivss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esviafm.com\/index.php\/designan-al-exministro-carlos-alvarado-como-nuevo-presidente-del-ivss\/","title":{"rendered":"Designan al exministro Carlos Alvarado como nuevo presidente del IVSS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La ministra de Salud, Nuramy Guti\u00e9rrez, anunci\u00f3 el nombramiento de Carlos Alvarado como nuevo presidente del Instituto Venezolano de los Seguros Sociales (IVSS) en sustituci\u00f3n de Magaly Guti\u00e9rrez, tambi\u00e9n exministra de Salud que estuvo al frente del ente desde 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCarlos Humberto Alvarado es un m\u00e9dico cirujano, reconocido como el ministro del Poder Popular para la Salud que enfrent\u00f3 de manera exitosa, bajo el liderazgo del presidente Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, los embates de la pandemia de la COVID-19\u201d, escribi\u00f3 el ente en nota de prensa.<\/p>\n<p>Alvarado fue ministro de Salud entre 2018 y 2022. Tambi\u00e9n es rector de la Universidad de las Ciencias de la Salud Hugo Ch\u00e1vez Fr\u00edas y presidente de la Fundaci\u00f3n Salvador Allende.<\/p>\n<p>El nuevo presidente del IVSS ocup\u00f3 otros cargos antes de asumir el ministerio en 2018. Fue viceministro de Redes de Servicio de Salud y de Salud Integral, gerente general encargado de la Gesti\u00f3n Administrativa de la Fundaci\u00f3n Misi\u00f3n Barrio Adentro y, en el a\u00f1o 2006, fue designado director encargado de la Fundaci\u00f3n de Edificaciones y Equipamiento Hospitalario (Fundeeh).<\/p>\n<p>Alvarado es m\u00e9dico egresado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), especializado en Salud Ocupacional y Medicina F\u00edsica y Rehabilitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El IVSS es el ente encargado de garantizar la seguridad social en Venezuela mediante la afiliaci\u00f3n de trabajadores, la administraci\u00f3n de pensiones por vejez, invalidez y sobreviviente, y la prestaci\u00f3n de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica integral (maternidad, enfermedad, accidentes). Adem\u00e1s gestiona la cesant\u00eda, controla los aportes patronales y ofrece servicios asistenciales.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pvc_clear\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"pvc_stats_34532\" class=\"pvc_stats all  \"
