As\u00ed lo inform\u00f3 la organizaci\u00f3n Acceso a la Justicia, que se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el tribunal debe decidir si el proceso est\u00e1 ajustado al Estatuto de Roma.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la ONG, la Sala de Apelaciones de la CPI desestim\u00f3 el recurso presentado por el chavismo, que argumentaba que la investigaci\u00f3n del fiscal Karim Khan afectar\u00eda el memorando de entendimiento que firmaron en 2021 y retraumatizar\u00eda a las v\u00edctimas. Adem\u00e1s, el r\u00e9gimen neg\u00f3 que en el pa\u00eds se hayan cometido cr\u00edmenes de lesa humanidad.<\/p>\n<p>La Sala de Apelaciones consider\u00f3 que Venezuela no demostr\u00f3 que existiera el riesgo de consecuencias irreparables para el memorando ni para su recurso. Por el contrario, indic\u00f3 que el fiscal Khan se comprometi\u00f3 a seguir cooperando con el Estado venezolano y que este puede continuar con sus investigaciones internas.<\/p>\n<p>La decisi\u00f3n de la CPI permite al jurista brit\u00e1nico iniciar las investigaciones para esclarecer las denuncias e identificar a los posibles responsables.
