A lomos del potro Sovereignty, Alvarado demostr\u00f3 su destreza en la pista de Saratoga, imponi\u00e9ndose en la carrera disputada sobre una distancia de 2.000 metros.<\/p>\n<div>\nEsta trascendental victoria se suma a la ya obtenida por Alvarado en el Kentucky Derby de 2025, marcando un logro excepcional para el jinete venezolano. Durante el Belmont Stakes, Alvarado mantuvo a Sovereignty en posiciones intermedias durante gran parte del recorrido, mientras Journalism lideraba el pelot\u00f3n. En la recta final, el jinete criollo ejecut\u00f3 un magistral sprint que permiti\u00f3 a Sovereignty desplazar a los punteros y cruzar la meta con solvencia, registrando un tiempo de 2:00.69 para los 2.000 metros. Journalism se ubic\u00f3 en el segundo lugar, seguido por Baeza, Rodr\u00edguez y Hill Road.<\/p>\n<div>\nCon este triunfo, Junior Alvarado se consolida como el tercer jinete venezolano en la historia en conquistar dos de las tres prestigiosas carreras que componen la Triple Corona estadounidense. Adem\u00e1s, se convierte en el segundo jinete de Venezuela en ganar el Belmont Stakes, una prueba exigente tambi\u00e9n conocida como el \u00abTest de los Campeones\u00bb. Para el potro Sovereignty, esta victoria representa su cuarto triunfo en siete salidas a la pista.<br \/>\nLas carreras de la Triple Corona (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes y Belmont Stakes) son eventos de suma importancia en el calendario h\u00edpico internacional.
