El repunte se atribuye al\u00a0<strong>auge sostenido del sector energ\u00e9tico<\/strong>\u00a0en Guyana, consolidando al pa\u00eds como uno de los nuevos protagonistas del mercado petrolero mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el estado de resultados publicado por el medio\u00a0<em>Banca y Negocios<\/em>, ExxonMobil Guyana logr\u00f3 reducir sus\u00a0<strong>costos de exploraci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0de 263 millones de d\u00f3lares en 2023 a 108 millones en 2024. No obstante, los\u00a0<strong>costos de producci\u00f3n aumentaron a 291 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong>, impulsados por la incorporaci\u00f3n del buque FPSO\u00a0<em>Prosperity<\/em>, que reforz\u00f3 la capacidad operativa de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Durante una rueda de prensa en Georgetown,\u00a0<strong>John Colling<\/strong>, vicepresidente y gerente de servicios comerciales de la empresa, explic\u00f3 que gran parte de los ingresos actuales se orientan a la\u00a0<strong>recuperaci\u00f3n de la inversi\u00f3n inicial<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote td_pull_quote td_pull_center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-954eeb4d274f1bb9ef8cc49ca8154027\">\u201cExxonMobil Guyana y sus socios han invertido 40.000 millones de d\u00f3lares hasta la fecha y solo han recuperado 33.000 millones\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Colling.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Una vez culminado ese proceso, el petr\u00f3leo con fines de lucro ser\u00e1\u00a0<strong>distribuido entre ExxonMobil, sus socios y el Gobierno de Guyana<\/strong>.
