La salud del expresidente, que tiene 82 a\u00f1os, fue una de las grandes preocupaciones entre los votantes y el propio Partido Dem\u00f3crata durante la pasada campa\u00f1a electoral, hasta que se retir\u00f3 de la carrera para dejar paso a Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>La semana pasada, un m\u00e9dico visit\u00f3 al presidente Joe Biden porque se le hab\u00eda encontrado un n\u00f3dulo prost\u00e1tico tras sufrir s\u00edntomas urinarios que iban en aumento, lo que requer\u00eda una \u00abevaluaci\u00f3n adicional\u00bb. El viernes le diagnosticaron un c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata, caracterizado por una puntuaci\u00f3n de Gleason de 9 con met\u00e1stasis en los huesos, afirma el comunicado. \u00abSi bien representa una forma agresiva de la enfermedad\u00bb, el c\u00e1ncer parece responder a las hormonas, \u00ablo que permite un tratamiento m\u00e1s efectivo\u00bb. Biden y su familia \u00abest\u00e1n revisando las opciones de tratamiento con sus m\u00e9dicos\u00bb, dice el comunicado.<\/p>\n<div class=\"advertising content\">La puntuaci\u00f3n de Gleason es una escala del 1 al 10 que se utiliza en los c\u00e1nceres de pr\u00f3stata para medir cu\u00e1ntas c\u00e9lulas cancerosas existen en comparaci\u00f3n con las c\u00e9lulas sanas. Al tener una puntuaci\u00f3n de 9, seg\u00fan ha informado la oficina del exmandatario, se trata de una de las formas m\u00e1s agresivas.
