La falta de este servicio esencial obliga a cientos de mujeres a emprender largos y costosos viajes a otras ciudades del pa\u00eds para recibir el tratamiento que necesitan.<\/p>\n<p>Olga Obiol, presidenta de la\u00a0<strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Falc\u00f3n Unidos<\/strong>\u00a0contra el c\u00e1ncer de mama, denunci\u00f3 la grave situaci\u00f3n que enfrentan las pacientes oncol\u00f3gicas en la regi\u00f3n, rese\u00f1\u00f3 Uni\u00f3n Radio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl Hospital General de Coro cuenta con una<strong>\u00a0unidad de radioterapia que lleva aproximadamente siete a\u00f1os inoperativa<\/strong>\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Obiol, quien adem\u00e1s destac\u00f3 que esta problem\u00e1tica afecta especialmente a mujeres de bajos recursos que no pueden costear los gastos asociados a trasladarse a otras ciudades como Caracas, Valencia, Maracay o Barquisimeto.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aumenta incidencia de c\u00e1ncFUENTEer en Falc\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>La activista resalt\u00f3 la importancia de contar con estos servicios en la regi\u00f3n, ya que permitir\u00eda a las\u00a0<strong>pacientes recibir un tratamiento oportuno\u00a0<\/strong>y cercano a sus hogares.
