{"id":20837,"date":"2024-09-24T08:02:20","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T12:32:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esviafm.com\/?p=20837"},"modified":"2024-09-24T08:02:20","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T12:32:20","slug":"fao-insta-a-tomar-previsiones-ante-llegada-de-la-nina-en-america-latina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esviafm.com\/index.php\/fao-insta-a-tomar-previsiones-ante-llegada-de-la-nina-en-america-latina\/","title":{"rendered":"FAO insta a tomar previsiones ante llegada de La Ni\u00f1a en Am\u00e9rica Latina"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y la Agricultura (FAO), pidi\u00f3 acciones urgentes para enfrentar las fuertes lluvias que se esperan en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe en lo que resta del a\u00f1o, a ra\u00edz del fen\u00f3meno clim\u00e1tico La Ni\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Se prev\u00e9 que La Ni\u00f1a provocar\u00e1 graves consecuencias para la seguridad alimentaria en todo el mundo, sobre todo en \u00c1frica austral y oriental, Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, y tambi\u00e9n el sudeste asi\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>Los \u00faltimos pron\u00f3sticos apuntan a precipitaciones superiores a lo normal entre septiembre y diciembre, pero que pueden persistir hasta marzo de 2025 en el norte de Suram\u00e9rica (Colombia y Venezuela), Am\u00e9rica Central (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua) y el Caribe (Cuba, Hait\u00ed, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana).<\/p>\n<p>En Cuba, Hait\u00ed y la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, las previsiones apuntan a un alto riesgo de inundaciones y ciclones en los pr\u00f3ximos meses. Se espera que estos peligros provoquen anegamientos, da\u00f1os a los cultivos, a los barcos y equipos pesqueros y al ganado, tambi\u00e9n debido al aumento de plagas y enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien el aumento de las precipitaciones que traer\u00e1 La Ni\u00f1a puede ser beneficiosos para la agricultura en algunas zonas, tambi\u00e9n puede provocar graves inundaciones, suelos anegados, enfermedades de los cultivos y mortalidad animal.<\/p>\n<p>La Ni\u00f1a es un fen\u00f3meno clim\u00e1tico caracterizado por el enfriamiento de las aguas del Pac\u00edfico central y oriental, que altera los patrones clim\u00e1ticos globales.
