jueves de que el virus de mpox (enfermedad antes conocida como viruela del mono) sigue transmiti\u00e9ndose a nivel mundial, con 26 pa\u00edses que han notificado casos a la agencia sanitaria de la ONU este mes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEl mpox sigue siendo una amenaza sanitaria mundial\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 en una rueda de prensa el director general de la OMS, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, quien destac\u00f3 que los brotes m\u00e1s preocupantes se encuentran en la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo (RDC) y Sud\u00e1frica.<\/p>\n<p>El experto et\u00edope advirti\u00f3 que el brote de la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo \u00abno muestra signos de desaceleraci\u00f3n\u00bb, con m\u00e1s de 11.000 casos y 445 muertes notificadas este a\u00f1o, siendo los ni\u00f1os los m\u00e1s afectados.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ngb_box\">\n<div id=\"ngb_si1152\" class=\"ngb_ad ngb_si\" data-id=\"1152\" data-google-query-id=\"CIPH7oTJoYcDFWe30QQdcZ8McQ\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/21712171430\/box2_n_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Mientras, Sud\u00e1frica ha reportado al menos 20 casos de mpox a la OMS, tres de ellos mortales, que se
