Se trata del segundo temporal con nombre en el a\u00f1o, despu\u00e9s de la tormenta tropical Alberto, que pas\u00f3 por el noreste de M\u00e9xico el 20 de junio, y del primer hurac\u00e1n de categor\u00eda 1, con potencial para convertirse a la categor\u00eda 3.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>No obstante, este tipo de fen\u00f3menos son inusuales para esta \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o, puesto que el primer hurac\u00e1n de la temporada generalmente se forma a partir de agosto, a pesar de que la temporada comienza el 1 de junio.<\/p>\n<p>Beryl es el hurac\u00e1n m\u00e1s oriental que se form\u00f3 en el Atl\u00e1ntico tropical durante el mes de junio, superando un r\u00e9cord de m\u00e1s de 90 a\u00f1os. \u00abSolo se han formado unas pocas tormentas en la historia sobre el Atl\u00e1ntico tropical central u oriental a principios de a\u00f1o\u00bb, explic\u00f3 John Cangialosi, pronosticador del NHC.<\/p>\n<p><b>El Caribe en alerta<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\nEn estos momentos est\u00e1 vigente una advertencia de hurac\u00e1n para Barbados, mientras que Santa Luc\u00eda, San Vicente y las Granadinas y Granada est\u00e1n bajo alerta de hurac\u00e1n. Una alerta de tormenta tropical se emiti\u00f3 en Martinica, Dominica y Trinidad y Tobago.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa realidad es que necesitamos estar preparados\u00bb, anunci\u00f3 el viernes la primera ministra de Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, instando a los ciudadanos a abastecerse de alimentos y estar preparados ante una posible evacuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><b>Intensa temporada de huracanes<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\nA finales de mayo, el Centro de Predicci\u00f3n Clim\u00e1tica de EEUU pronostic\u00f3 un 85 % de posibilidades de que la temporada de huracanes sea m\u00e1s activa de lo normal.<\/p>\n<p>Una temporada promedio de huracanes tiene 14 tormentas con nombre y siete huracanes, tres de los cuales son de gran importancia.
